Paisley: Songs remain the same, just not the tour name
Brad Paisley is a country megastar, so it’s his perogative to change his mind–and his tour name–if he wants to. And that’s just what he did.
According to the man himself, the ‘Camobunga! 2012 World Tour’ has been renamed to the ‘Virtual Reality World Tour 2012′ to reflect more accurately the kind of experience in store for Paisley’s fans.
“When you see plans and sketches on paper it’s one thing but to actually see it in real life is something else, and that’s what happened to me when we were in tour rehearsals,” Paisley said. “When I saw the visuals and how exciting and sometimes mind-blowing they were I just felt the tour name needed to reflect what the fans were going to see. For two hours each night of the tour they can be taken away from reality – literally.”
I’m sure his production and marketing people are in a tailspin, but the fans could care less. Except for me. I’m ecstatic at the name change - camobunga was just dumb. And I’m ecstatic about the opening acts, The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery. The show is guaranteed to amaze, so don’t miss your chance to see Brad Paisley live starting January 12 through March 17 at venues across the country.
